Idris Elba tests positive for Coronavirus

Stay home and stay safe the virus is real

British actor Idris Elba is the latest personality from the entertainment industry to have tested positive for the Coronavirus.

In an announcement made late on Monday on his Twitter account, Elba wrote that he had tested positive for Covid 19.

“I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus,” he said.

Elba, who is also a writer, producer, musician, DJ, rapper, and singer, joins including Tom Hanks and his wife and actress Rita Wilson, as well as former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko in the celebrities who have fallen prey to the fast-spreading virus.

The star, who is known for roles in hit series such as The Wire and Luther, as well as Marvel's Avengers franchise, said he was tested after someone he was exposed to tested positive.
